For volumetric or volumetric balances, the level in the balance tank is measured. It is therefore not a weighing using strain gauges.
These scales are used for dosing with very light materials (polystyrene, feathers, etc.) where the classic method cannot be used.
For this reason, the balance shown has a side sight glass so that an optical level sensor can be used.
